A Romantic Spring Wedding at the Breakers West Country Club in West Palm Beach, Florida

On May 19th 2018, Andrew and I had the honor of documenting Katie and Ryan's romantic Spring wedding at the Breakers West Country Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. Their elegant day was filled with soft pastel hues and romantic feels. Although their day was filled with an incredible amount of rain, it only added to the dreaminess of their romantic spring wedding!

There were so many stunning details to gush over. Katie's dress alone was a showstopper! Together, with Ryan in a classic black and white tuxedo, there was something so elegant that made this wedding really stand out. But perhaps one of my favorite details wasn't actually a detail at all, but the way Ryan would look at Katie throughout the entire day. The sweetest glances from across the room and the tender smiles he gave her when she caught his eye. These are the things that make me truly love what I do.

The Love Story

Ryan and Katie first started dating after meeting through mutual friends in high school. They continued dating through college and still couldn't get enough of each other. Ryan proposed to Katie last year, by the intracoastal of downtown West Palm Beach. Now ten years since they first met, they officially tied the knot! It is so sweet to see how they really are best friends! They have even been writing "forever & always" on notes to each other since the beginning. Katie and Ryan, may your lives together be filled with love, trust, joy and so many blessings for many years to come!

The Inspiration for their Wedding Day

When looking for inspiration for the wedding theme, Katie decided it was best to just be herself and let the style of her personality shine through. There were muted tones of green and champagne with gold accents throughout the decor. Katie's bridal look is also a reflection of her personality, with romantic beading and lace appliques, but also sleek & trendy with a deep v-neck front and an open back. The designer of the dress (Martine) actually picked the dress out specifically for Katie during a trunk show for bridal gowns. It was love at first sight--just like when she first saw Ryan!

The wedding day began at the stunning Hilton in Downtown West Palm Beach. Their rooms let in so much gorgeous natural light!

Then it was time for the father/daughter first look followed by Katie and Ryan’s first look! Ryan's expressions were priceless. We captured all their portraits in the main lobby of the West Palm Beach Hilton. All those windows could make even a rainy day seem bright! 

One of my favorites!  Then we headed over to St Ann's Catholic Church for their ceremony! 

After the ceremony, we headed to the  Breakers West Country Club for the reception. When the rain slowed down we grabbed a few golf carts and explored the grounds to capture a few more bridal portraits.

Worth Avenue Family Vacation Portraits

On Thursday, April 26th, 2018, Andrew and I had the honor of working with the Mukhatiyar Family again during their vacation in Palm Beach, from Long Island, New York. Last year we had the pleasure of working with them and we enjoyed seeing them again! It was so fun to see how big the boys had grown in just a year!

This year we captured their family vacation photos on the elegant street of Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida. Their session took place in the westward parts of Worth Avenue. This sweet little family is too cute for words. We had such a wonderful time capturing their family vacation portraits again this year!

Clayton James | 1st Birthday Portraits

Vintage Aviation Themed 1st Birthday Portraits

This cutie is making his second appearance on the blog in honor of his First Birthday! This session was particularly special because this little guy is my godson, Clayton James! You may remember him from his last session at Dubois Park! Clayton has literally grown in front of my camera. I have so many favorite photos from his first year but this session takes the cake!

His vintage aviation themed 1st birthday portraits came out better than I could have anticipated! His momma choose a vintage aviation theme because she herself has worked very hard towards her pilot's license! Once she got her hands on a children's Carbon Cub plane this session was off to an amazing start! It was such a perfect theme and I am so excited to share his 1st birthday portraits!!

Clayton, thank you for always being such a happy ham on and off camera! I can't believe what a handsome and sweet little guy you've become. May you always know how much you are loved! Happy 1st of many!

Lifestyle Palm Beach High School Senior Portraits on Worth Avenue, Palm Beach

Meet Cassie and Madeline, best friends from Nashville, Tennessee! These gorgeous ladies came to visit Palm Beach for their senior trip. During their time in the area we captured their high school senior portraits! Their session took place in some of my favorite spots all over Palm Beach Island.

These Palm Beach high school senior portraits are filled with colorful tropical scenes and fun joy-filled laugher! Cassie and Madeline were so fun to work with and I am excited to share their session!

We began their session at The Royal Poinciana Plaza on Palm Beach Island. This ivy wall is amazing!

Then we made our way to Sprinkles for an ice cream break! 

Next, it was time for some portraits in a garden in Palm Beach! Then we headed to Worth Avenue!  Madeline and Cassie, you girls are gorgeous! 

We finished our session on the beach as the sun was setting! The sky was a soft, pale pink and the teal water made the perfect contrast.  Some of my favorite shots of Cassie! And Madeline!  Best friends forever.
